Artist's Description
We had taken a trip to the Oregon Coast in 2011 and while staying at our last stop there were a lot of these brown pelicans about. I was down on the dock taking pictures of them when this one came flying in straight for me, I almost didn't get out of the way soon enough. That would have been quite the scene, being taken out by this big bird! I think it was going after the bait that the fishermen were using, it actually hit one of them and was a little stunned when it landed.
